In collaboration with One Spirit Productions, The H Word is an attempt to ‘Mike Leigh’ a musical – devise it from scratch with a core cast of six talented actors.

 

The H Word is being written/directed by Carol Russell, one of the BAFTA nominated writing team on Tracy Beaker. The score is being created by up-and-coming composer/lyricist partnership Christopher Ash, assistant MD on Showstopper the Improvised Musical, and Carl Miller, whose adaptation of Emil and the Detectives was recently produced at the National Theatre. The choreographer is Tom Jackson-Greaves, long time principal dancer with Matthew Bourne and special prize-winner for the New Adventures Choreography Award 2012.
