J Clare Productions is focused primarily on entertaining its audiences, creating theatre people want to see. The next two years will see the tour of Play On! (in partnership with Talawa Theatre Company) play a host of regional venues, as well as a development production of Bollywood Rose - an original British Bollywood musical, in partnership with British Youth Music Theatre.

Crafting Drama

Since 2020, we have been producing theatre whenever possible. Our shows, including These Folk, Yes Queens and Julie Madly Deeply, have played at venues including Park Theatre, Battersea Arts Centre, Brighton Fringe, Stanley Halls Croydon and Hope Fest Manchester.

 

Investing In Others

We love theatre and we are always excited to support shows we believe in via investment. We are currently supporting the Olivier Award Winning Cabaret, Player Kings starring Ian Mckellen, Harry Clarke starring Billy Crudup, the tour of Dear Evan Hansen, as well as two stunning original British musicals: Kathy & Stella Solve A Murder and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - both hitting the West End this year.

Bringing Joy To Catford

Formed in 2023, Julie Clare and Chuchu Nwagu created Joy Productions, a new pantomime company with writing and direction from Susie McKenna who built the highly respected Hackney Empire pantomimes.

​

Our mission is to create quality pantomimes that both honour tradition and are modern, inclusive, and relevant to the communities we serve. Just as importantly, team Joy will be fulfilling social goals around bringing communities together and, by partnering with local colleges and West End venues, create a pipeline of global majority and/or working class and talent into our industry
